Can you make yourself holy?   2. Does holy mean sinless?   Practical help Are you trying to make yourself holy? You already are — if you've trusted Jesus for salvation (if you haven't, click here). Holiness is what Jesus accomplishes in your life once you have trusted him. You can't slow or speed up holiness. If you think you can, you're grandiose (believing you can accomplish something you can't). You do have the choice to resist porn. But what's the incentive if you're already holy? Give up porn because it's wise to do so (not because doing so will make you holier). Give up porn so that, among other things, you won't be tempted to commit the smut acts yourself — and damage relationships and reputations. Wise choices heal relationships and honor God. So rejoice.
