Practical help
When sinning, people tend to focus on the present,
blocking out past and future consequences of their
wrongdoing.
Ironically, Christians resisting porn or other
temptations can likewise fixate on the moment, overlooking past and
future results of the Gospel.
What to do?
If you're a
Christian preoccupied with present temptations, lift up your eyes.
While resisting sin, remember where you've come from and where you're
headed.
You've been saved from the penalty of past sins (a
concept known as justification) and assured eventual deliverance from
future sins (sanctification).
