What do you think it means to be lead by God in
paths of righteousness?
Practical help
David understood that God always lead him in the
perfect and right way. He learned through his experience with God that
His paths of righteousness were always the best for him. Generally
speaking, David trusted in God’s direction for his life and rested in
the truth that God was his Guide.
God also leads us in His
right and perfect way. That’s what we need. That’s what will bring
true blessing to our lives and glory to God as well. Walking on the
dark, lonely road of porn use is nothing but a dead end.
David
didn’t always walk in God’s righteous path. When he didn’t, he
suffered with the consequences of his sin and its pain. David was very
much aware that his right standing before God came as a gift because
of his faith, not because of his own righteous deeds. David
experienced God’s forgiveness for his sexual sin.
Take a break
from porn. It might help you today to see God as your loving Guide.
Stop stumbling down the road of smut. Remember that if you are a
Christian your right standing with God is a gift because you have
believed in His Son as our Savior. You have freedom to take a step
closer to Him and begin to know Him as your Guide. He will also
restore you to purity and lead you in His righteous
way.
