For thus says the high and exalted One
Who lives forever, whose name is Holy,
"I dwell on a high and holy place,
And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit
In order to revive the spirit of the lowly
And to revive the heart of the contrite."

Friend, how would you like a measure of encouragement for the battle today? Consider the truths of this verse for moment.

  1. God is above all he has made. He is the exalted One. Nobody comes close!
  2. He is eternal and holy.
  3. Even though He is God, He seeks to dwell (now through the indwelling Holy Spirit) with those people of humble and repentant hearts and attitudes.
  4. He does this because of His love for us. He dwells with the humble in order to give them strength and revive their hearts.
This is grace for salvation through Jesus Christ, and this is grace for each day. You can feel confident about drawing close to the Lord for forgiveness, even if you have been clicking around the porn sites. Allow Him to revive your heart today.
