Passage: John 17:24*

Father, I desire that they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am, in order that they may behold My glory, which Thou hast given Me; for Thou didst love Me before the foundation of the world.

Questions

1. What does this say about your future?

2. Who do you belong to?

Practical help

Jesus’ prayer from the night before his crucifixion reveals some amazing truths impacting our eternal destiny. Here are just a few to consider.

Love is at the bottom of it all: the Father’s love for the Son, the Son’s love for the Father and the Son’s love for you and me.

We will not be lost but we will be with Jesus where He is in heaven. That’s a sure thing for those who trust in Christ as Savior and sin could not possibly hinder that future reality!

We will behold His glory. In another place (1 John 3:2) we are encouraged by the fact that we will see Jesus just as He is. No longer influenced by the impurity of the world and our own human limitations, we’ll see Jesus, our Creator and Savior in full splendor, majesty and glory.

You belong to Jesus.

The filth and emptiness of Web porn offers nothing compared to what is already ours in Christ and what is waiting for us the moment we pass into His presence. There is grace for you today and the abiding presence of the Spirit of Jesus Christ so you won’t follow the desires of the flesh. Look ahead, fully encouraged by the truth, and take action against the pull of sexual temptation in your life!
