Do you think your particular porn temptation is unique? Or that,
when it comes to sin, you're in a class by yourself?
Perhaps you think that only a fraction of the population engages in
your particular variety of smut.
Regardless of what any sex behavior research might suggest, the
Bible offers its own statistic, namely that any temptation you can think of is common to
mankind.
So if you feel isolated by your struggle with porn, know that you're
not alone, no matter how depraved you think your "special" situation is. Lots of
other folks have walked, are walking and will walk the same road as you.
One such person is Jesus Christ, who, according to Hebrews 4:15, was
tempted in EVERY conceivable way. Including your way.
The 1 Corinthians verse above follows up its sweeping statistic (all
sin is common) with an equally bold ray of hope: There's a way to escape every temptation.
