Passage: Psalm 130:1-4*

1. Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD;

2. O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.

3. If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand?

4. But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared.

Question

Does it seem reasonable that a holy, pure and just God would not keep a record of our sins (past, present or future)?

Practical help

Hey, maybe you've slipped recently and it's more than you can deal with. You find yourself in the depths of despair, wondering how you can do (or even want to do) those despicable things.

Today's passage offers you a ladder fashioned by a God who will make it reach the bottom of the deepest pit you could possibly dig yourself into. It's the ladder of God's forgiveness. It's a long one because it always reaches you where you're at — even at the lowest of lows. And, in a fearfully awesome way, it always gets you out of that pit of failures. Have you been forgiven? Click here, if you're not sure.

Today, cry out to God, and tell Him you need the ladder. It's time to put some distance between you and those failures.
