Passage: 1 Timothy 1:5*

But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

Question

In the last two lessons we have looked at love from a pure heart and love from a good conscience, today let’s ask the question, "What would love from a sincere faith look like?"

Practical help

Biblical faith is not a strong hope that something might be true. It is the deep conviction that the visible world is ordered by the invisible laws of God.

All of us exercise faith every day when we step into elevators or accelerate onto freeways, but the faith talked about in this verse is about one thing only, and that is an absolute faith that Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was enough to see to it that any sinner who simply believes in his or her mind, can enter heaven – with the full entitlements that would be given to the heirs of a king. But not just any king, this king is The King of Kings and The Lord of Lords! For all who have a sincere faith in what God has done and can continue to do in their lives, there will be given the ability to love as Jesus loved.

A sincere faith should conclude that in light of what we have in Jesus, pornography is a terrible waste of time. This type of faith is enough to restore us to the full stature of what we really are – Children of The King.
