Title: Prayer Practicums — Knock
Keywords: "knock” “opened"

Welcome to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand strong in the face of sexual temptation.

This is the third in a series on some practical elements of prayer: Ask, Seek and Knock. Part three — following through.

Passage: Matthew 7:7-8*

7. "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

8. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

Questions

1. What might the door represent?

2. What does it mean to knock on it, and what happens when you do?

3. What might keep you from feeling ready to knock on that door?

Practical help

Is your involvement with Internet porn keeping you from actively seeking God's will? Have you been more interested in living behind closed doors than in knocking on God's door to receive his help? News flash: He already knows what you've been up to, and He still loves you. His son, Jesus, died for all of your sins, and He'd really like you to talk to Him about that and to enjoy life in His will. He can give you all the help you need, and you really can get together with Him through prayer right now.  He's waiting — just behind that door.
