Passage: Psalm 57:2-3*
2. I will cry to God Most High, To God who accomplishes all things
for me.
3. He will send from heaven and save me; He reproaches him who
tramples upon me. God will send forth His lovingkindness and His truth.
Questions
1. The psalmist cried to God on the basis of something He believed
about God. What was it?
2. What four things does he expect God to do (verse 3)?
Practical help
When you pray to God with a problem, like the sin of internet
pornography, and ask Him for help, you are "crying" to Him. Believe that He can
accomplish all things for you because this is not a test of His ability. It is a test of
your faith. Internet pornographers trample on their victims for money. Someday they will
meet God. How will they be able to justify their actions? How will you and I give an
account of our own lives? God sends his lovingkindness and truth to us in many ways, but
the clearest picture we have is Jesus Christ. Read His story in the gospels Matthew, Mark,
Luke and John. Come back tomorrow and we will continue this Psalm.
