Passage: Psalm 57:7-11*
7. My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing,
yes, I will sing praises!
8. Awake, my glory; Awake, harp and lyre, I will awaken the dawn!
9. I will give thanks to Thee, O Lord, among the peoples; I will
sing praises to Thee among the nations.
10. For Thy lovingkindness is great to the heavens, and Thy truth to
the clouds.
11. Be exalted above the heavens, O God; let Thy glory be above all
the earth.
Questions
1. This is the conclusion to Psalm 57. We have been studying it for
the last three lessons. The writer has turned a corner. How would describe his mood?
2. After being rescued or spared from a trap or deep pit the
psalmist desires to do something. What is it?
Practical help
Internet pornography weakens and contaminates the heart. Once we cry
to Him and He rescues us (something that may not yet have happened in your life) we will
be "awakened" to a life of joy and peace. Life with God turns out to be a deep
and rich thing hard to describe to one seeking pleasures elsewhere.
My prayer for you is that you get the help you need in order to allow God to use your life
as a rich blessing for other "trapped" and hurting people. May you give thanks
to God "among the peoples" and praise Him "among the nations" --
(something easily doable today through the Internet.) Please write, we would love to hear
from you.
