Ephesians 1:13-14*
13. In Him, you also,
after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of
your salvation-- having also believed, you were sealed
in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14. who is given as a pledge of
our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of
God's own possession, to the praise of His
glory.

Practical
help
All believers in Jesus
Christ are given the Holy Spirit when they believe.
What an incredible gift! The Holy Spirit is the
Father’s seal that we really do belong to Him.
The Spirit is like a down payment or a deposit that
guarantees that God will do all He has promised in
Christ. The genuineness of our faith is proven by the
Spirit’s presence in our lives.
His power works in us to change
our lives now and give us a glimpse of the total
change we will experience when we are in heaven. Part
of the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to empower the
life of the believer. With the Spirit of God residing
in us, we have all the spiritual resources we need to
resist the temptation to porn. As a component of that,
He may also direct us to look for help from others as
an act of wise accountability in areas of struggle.
Mutual dependence within the Body of Christ is a very
healthy thing. Porn struggles rarely go away by
themselves!
Don’t give in to temptation
today, but rather look to Jesus and allow Him to
strengthen you through the working of His Spirit in
you!
