Passage:
John 15:8*
By this is My Father
glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to
be My disciples. Jesus Christ
Questions
1. How is God glorified in
our lives?
2. What is characteristic of the
life of a disciple of Jesus Christ?
Practical
help
What an amazing honor to
know that our lives bring glory to God! The Father is
glorified, as our lives are fruitful. Our lives become
fruitful as we abide in the Lord Jesus, allowing Him
to live His life through us. Abiding in Christ means
to continue with Him as a learner a disciple.
When we give in to sexual
temptation, all of this is tarnished and spoiled. When
we prefer to abide in smut, theres no glory in
that, just despair.
God desires better things for
us, and in His grace Hell restore us to fruitful
fellowship with Christ. Turn to Him today in humility.
Its only fair to warn you that youll have
to do it again tomorrow, and the next day, and the
next day
. Thats what it means to continue
on with Jesus as His disciple. Thats how fruit
bearing begins, and thats how the Father will be
glorified in you.
What will you do
today?
