Welcome to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand strong in the face of sexual temptation.

Passage: John 15:8*

By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. — Jesus Christ

Questions

1. How is God glorified in our lives?

2. What is characteristic of the life of a disciple of Jesus Christ?

Practical help

What an amazing honor to know that our lives bring glory to God! The Father is glorified, as our lives are fruitful. Our lives become fruitful as we abide in the Lord Jesus, allowing Him to live His life through us. Abiding in Christ means to continue with Him as a learner — a disciple.

When we give in to sexual temptation, all of this is tarnished and spoiled. When we prefer to abide in smut, there’s no glory in that, just despair.

God desires better things for us, and in His grace He’ll restore us to fruitful fellowship with Christ. Turn to Him today in humility. It’s only fair to warn you that you’ll have to do it again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day…. That’s what it means to continue on with Jesus as His disciple. That’s how fruit bearing begins, and that’s how the Father will be glorified in you.

What will you do today?
