Welcome to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand strong in the face of sexual temptation.

Passage: Matthew 19:19b*

"…You shall love your NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."

Questions

1. Try to put the words of Jesus, above, in your own words.

2. For the sake of argument, let’s suggest that "love" means "seeking that which is best for the other person." What are some of the ways in which you would like to be treated, if you were "the other person"?

Practical help

In a sane moment, would you like to have a picture of your naked body — possibly performing the most intimate acts — in a world-wide forum for any anonymous person to view? How comfortable would you be knowing that your physical body was the object of someone’s lust?

Granted, those are frank questions. But they get at what may be one of the most powerful weapons in your arsenal against porn. If you really want to have victory over porn’s stranglehold, ask yourself, "Are my lustful looks at that HUMAN BEING on the web loving?"

Jesus said that the two greatest commandments God has given are "Love the Lord your God" and "Love your neighbor as yourself." Your "neighbor," as defined by Scripture, is the person who happens to be someone whose need you can meet. Surely, you can best meet the need of that HUMAN BEING on the computer screen by not looking!
