Question What is the main failing of the young person in the passage above?   Practical help Proverbs chapter 7 is the well-known tale of a young man prowling for sex until trapped by a prostitute. How immoral, one would think. Yet the author of this story censors the man not for immorality but for stupidity. It was lack of judgment, not an immoral bent of itself, that led to the man's doom. We porn strugglers should take note: Maybe worse than our lust is our brainlessness — a penchant to do real stupid stuff to our detriment (and that of others). So instead of trying to become more moral, maybe just getting smarter would do.
