Question What is a common thread among the verses above?   Practical help Biblical wisdom focuses on today, the present moment, now. Yes, Scripture urges us to plan for the future and learn from the past. But it admonishes us to live in the present. And no wonder. It's tempting to fantasize about other places and times and forget where we are now, especially if the present situation is boring or painful. We also worry about those other places and times.
