1. Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify
ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of
reverence for God.

Helpful Hints
Everyone can realize the promises of God, so everyone needs to
purify themselves. If you have recognized something in your life, like viewing web porn,
which is a contaminate, then it is time to get out the disinfectant. God's word is a
powerful cleaner. Start by turning to God and his word. You may also find that the
purification process is easier by finding a friend or family member who will help you to
purge the contaminates from your life.
