The past and future are
jointly porn's playground.
They're where our fantasies go
to take our mind off the here and now.
They're where we go to improve
our sexual self-esteem.
And, sadly, they're where we go
to resolve other insecurities and fears. "I'd be
better off if I hadn't done [fill in the
blank] in the past." Or, "I'll be better off as
soon as I [fill in the blank] in the
future."
In fact, the past and future are
where our thoughts venture to seek peace, happiness
and just about every other spiritual and emotional
contentment we'd ever want but seldom, if ever,
get.
There's a good reason for the
inevitable disappointment of living in the past and
future.
They're fake
realities.
From Scripture's standpoint,
there's only one negotiable reality the
present.
How can this truth help us
conquer our porn habit and other
anxieties?
