Welcome
to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand
strong in the face of sexual temptation.
Passage:
Malachi 2:10*
Have we not all one
Father? Did not one God create us? Why do we profane
the covenant of our fathers by breaking faith with one
another?
Questions
1. Who is the one Father
mentioned in today's verse?
2. How can knowing this help you
face temptation?
Practical
help
One of the things we learn
rather early in life is that when the cat's (Dad or
Mom) away we, as mice, can play. Sadly, though, we
also learn that some things look like fun but aren't
worth playing with. Things like pornography.
For some of us, when Dad's not
around we act "fatherless" and start thinking no one
really cares whether I resist this next temptation.
Maybe we say to ourselves, "I've failed to resist
enough times to see that even I don't
care."
It might be easy to think
yourself "orphaned" when your earthly father (or
mother) isn't physically around, but do you know that
your heavenly Father is always there? He's one cat
that's never away. That's not to say he doesn't want
you to have any fun. That's to say he's there caring
about what you choose to have fun with.
