1. I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,

2. with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love,

3. being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Questions

1. What is the Christian's calling? Who are we to represent?

2. In verse 2 we are called to show certain character traits. Who are we to show them to?

3. What do you think Paul means by "unity of the Spirit"?

Practical help

Internet pornography separates us from others and keeps us in hiding. The Lord calls us to represent Him to the world (and to one another) and display character traits He Himself showed while walking on this earth. This promotes a love that denies selfish gratification in favor of serving others.
