Passage: Romans 1:32*
Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Questions
1. What is Paul's point?
2. How can the message help you avoid pornography?
Practical help
In the Milos Forman film "The People Vs. Larry Flynt," an interesting role reversal takes place. "Hustler" porn publisher Larry Flynt is depicted as a defender of the First Amendment, not a merchant of obscenity. Only in Hollywood.
We shouldn't feel surprised. Two thousand years ago, the Apostle Paul saw the same dynamic at work in the Roman empire. God withholds punishment, and evil becomes the new good.
What to do? The rest of the book of Romans points the way: Recognize that God reclaimed us from that wicked lifestyle and empowers us to choose the right. Evil reigns on earth, but not within us.
