Practical help
Has anyone ever accused you of being so heavenly minded that you were of no earthly good? The idea expressed is that if someone is too heavenly minded then they must be out of touch with reality here. These verses affirm that the opposite is true — we need to maintain a heavenly focus rather than an earthly one for us to truly be in touch with reality!
Paul’s admonition for us is to remember our true identity in Christ and to maintain our focus on heavenly things. We were raised with Him and His resurrection is ours also. His resurrection life is now our life. When the wonder of now being in Christ grips our hearts and minds, the lure of porn and other earthly things looses it power over us.
Go ahead and let your mind be occupied with heavenly things today and get in touch with reality.
