3. What commands of God do you already know that would make a difference in your life if you remembered them on a regular basis and obeyed them wholeheartedly?

4. What form of teaching have present day believers been entrusted with?

Practical help

This website has been going strong for over a year now helping people stand against the temptation to internet porn. The inexhaustible resource behind this website is available to you too - that's right - the Bible. It is full of practical help and life changing truth. It also contains some brutally honest stories about how miserable sinners found new life and strength with God, even after devastating failures. How can you put this resource to work in your struggle against temptation?

Here are a few suggestions:

  1. If you've been weighed down with guilt over your involvement with porn, chances are you've been avoiding opening your Bible - get over it! The Bible is full of stories about people involved with sins every bit as vile as yours. And some of them are going to be in heaven. Why? If you don't know why, click here.
  2. As suggested in yesterday's study, when you find passages that help you avoid temptation, print or write them out and post them where you'll see them when you need them most. Try committing some of them to memory.
  3. Consider leaving an open Bible on your computer desk or in the chair where you sit at your computer, so you'll have to move it to sit down. No magic here, just a reminder that God's word is a powerful source of help and guidance.
  4. Are you involved in any kind of Bible study with other people? If not, consider finding one in your church or community.
  5. Make a commitment that each day you log onto the internet you will check out that day's Bible study on this website.
