Passage: 1 Corinthians 10:13* No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. Question When, if ever, do you depend on God's faithfulness the most?   Practical help Has temptation ever taunted you with words like these? You're gonna give in. You may try to resist, but you're gonna give in. You may hold off a while, but eventually you're gonna give in. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Such words can rattle anyone's self-confidence. Good thing you don't need to rely on self-confidence when temptation jeers and beckons. You can depend on something better — God's reliability. He "will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear." This is an incredible comment. Bank on it. Look around next time temptation mocks you. God has faithfully placed a way to resist. You won't have to search for it like children hunting for Easter eggs. The means to resist will probably be obvious and near at hand. So open you eyes, and smell the victory.
