2. How might gospel change your response to porn?
Practical help
Mark is the only biographer of Christ who calls his writing a
gospel. (Matthew, for example, calls his account a book.) The term
means good news, and Marks Jesus lives up to the billing -- a Suffering
Servant who gives His life as a ransom for the many (Mark 10:45).
But Christs good news is not limited to eternal redemption. He
also offers His followers release from besetting struggles. For anyone caught in the trap
of Web porn, this promise is good news indeed.
Today, trust Jesus that the good news extends even to your deepest
problems. And as you find victory over pornography, go home to your family and tell
them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you (Mark
5:19).
