Passage: Proverbs 3:13-17*
13. Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the
man who gains understanding,
14. for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns
than gold.
15. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare
with her.
16. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and
honor.
17. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths
are peace.

Practical help
What if you opened your newspaper or turned on the television
newscast and the opening story was about peace? Now that would be good news.
Is your life filled with inner peace, or are there things which rob
you of the peace which would be so welcome? Web porn, while enticing, is an unsettling
influence because it is not based on truth. It expresses the falsehoods of unrealistic
expectations of sexual fulfillment, it portrays the idea of sexual relationships that are
not godly, and it promotes sexual intimacy outside of marriage.
Are you looking for something pleasant and peaceful? What you want
is not porn; it is wisdom from God. The really good news is that it isn't hard to find.
When you pursue wisdom, pleasant ways and peace are all around you.
