Passage: 1 Chronicles 10:13* Saul died because he was unfaithful to the LORD; he did not keep the word of the LORD and even consulted a medium for guidance. Questions 1. How does the world remember Saul?   2. How would you like others to remember your life?   Practical help Tombstones make for interesting — albeit biased — accounts of human life. "Here lies" usually precedes some homespun statement about so-and-so's virtue. But what if epitaphs actually told the truth as did Saul's? I can think of a few I'd want to read. One day the truth will out. God will broadcast the hidden things of our lives. Imagine that epitaph: "Here lies a loyal husband, loving father, tireless community worker...inveterate porn addict." Not a pleasant story. Of course, though Saul chose differently, we can still rewrite our own histories.
