Welcome to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand strong in the face of sexual temptation.

Passage: Psalm 73:25*

Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.

Questions

1. What is the Psalmist trying to communicate in this passage?

2. How can the message help you steer clear of Web porn?

Practical help

One of the interesting things about the universe is the multifacetedness of error and the singularity of truth. Call it the "one-way" principle. We miss "the target." We stray from "the path." The lesson: Only one true trajectory and one true course lies open to us. God designed the universe that way.

But Web porn sideswipes and sidetracks us en route. It disrupts the faithful hearts that God has transplanted into all of us — the ones that say "earth has nothing I desire besides you."

Escaping such detours requires a step in the right direction. Back to our true self, our truest self, which desires God above all things. Let's rekindle that one-way spirit by living in a way that demonstrates the Lord's preeminence — in prayer, fasting and quiet times, not in viewing Web porn.
