Practical help
Step one to victory against Internet porn is knowing you are in a battle. Sitting in front of your computer viewing smut is not a quiet form of relaxation or recreation. You are actually engaged in a spiritual skirmish that threatens your soul. In Ephesians 6:12, Paul states, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
In battle, the soldier prepares himself by assembling his equipment. Back then, this might have included the horse. So there is definitely work for you to do. With your battle against temptation, you can do smart things like place your computer in a public area, or seek prayer support from friends. But there is another dimension where you are absolutely helpless. If God doesn't come through for you, you are sunk, because you don't control the adversary's moves. You don't know where and how temptation will strike next.
The good news (in fact the absolutely best news) is you have God on your side when you seek Him. He can bring you victory as He has for so many others. Remember however, that you must give Him the credit and not take it yourself.
