Practical help
Fear is a funny thing. It seems to be deeply mixed into our inner lives. Rather than attempting to ignore it or fight it, the instruction in the Deuteronomy passage above is to fear the Lord. This means to give Him your deepest respect. You cannot respect Him and at the same time disobey Him, therefore as verse 12 continues, "walk in all His ways." Do this long enough and you will discover that you are beginning to love God. From this love will spring forth the desire to serve Him with all your heart and soul.
The result of a life dedicated to serving God as He requires, is a peace, not only within yourself, but also with your enemies. You see, overcoming sexual addictions, is not a matter of will power, but the seeking of God and His power to save you.
