Passage: Proverbs 13:19* A longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but fools detest turning from evil. Questions 1. What sort of fulfilled longing do you remember being sweet to your soul? Why do you think that longing was fulfilled?   2. Does a lustful longing to view Web porn ever really get fulfilled?   Practical help We're all in the business of fulfilling longings. Some good, some bad. Is longing to view Web porn good or bad? How do you tell the difference? Not easy questions, but this verse gives us one possibility. Do a heart check after viewing Web porn. Can you tell whether your soul feels sweet or bitter? If you think your soul feels sweeter or you can't really tell, then the last half of this verse is your wake-up call. The longer you go down a path of fulfilling a genuine longing, like intimacy, with a bad choice, like Web porn, the harder it will be to recognize its destructive nature. You start to lose your objectivity. Once that happens, the fall is long and hard. The good news is that if you're reading this you haven't lost all objectivity.
