temptation.

Passage: Hebrews 3:12-13*
12. Take care, brethren, lest there should be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart, in falling away from the living God.
13. But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called "Today," lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
Questions
1. What can your ministry of encouragement to a close friend do for them in their battle against sexual sin?
2. Do you see the benefits for this kind of open friendship and accountability for yourself?
Practical help
We cannot hope to effectively handle sexual temptation alone. In fact, God didn’t design us to survive alone in this spiritual battle. Hebrews 3:12-13 reveals the truth that we need close personal interaction with others in order not to be “hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.”
It can be frightening to “confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another” (James 5:16). Yet, every one of us needs to regularly do just that. Nothing will cause an illicit attraction or fantasy to shatter in pieces as much as sharing it with a praying friend.
Action Point 8: Develop a relationship of mutual accountability.
