Practical help
Grief is a deep emotion that comes from a
significant loss. We often associate grief with the death of a loved
one or the loss of something we value very much. You may be surprised
to think that the heart of God is grieved by our sin. He feels a deep
sense of loss when we give in to the temptation to use porn.
As
followers of Christ, we have been given the Spirit of God as a
guarantee of our salvation. The Bible also instructs us that the Holy
Spirit now indwells us and is at work in us. Consider the offense it
is to Him abiding in you and the pain it will cause Him if you give in
to smut today. His presence in your life also means that you have the
ability to resist.
