Practical help

Pornography is a robber. For the Christian, a choice to view and fantasize over pornography of any kind is a choice to walk alone. It robs us of fellowship with others.

If we are struggling with sexual sin and lack the humility to share that with others, we place ourselves in the lonely position of trying to maintain an appearance of walking in the light. Of course we are lying in that case and our relationships with others suffer because we are unable to be honest and transparent about our lives. No relationship can grow in an atmosphere of untruth.

A choice to humbly admit to other brothers or sisters in Christ the tendency to struggle with porn will usher us back into the light — back into fellowship with others. Since everyone has struggled with some kind of sin, you will likely find understanding and encouragement. The grip of porn is broken in our lives as we walk together in truth and in dependence upon Jesus.

So, what will you choose today? Will you walk alone in the dark land of Web porn, or will you walk in fellowship — in the light — with other believers. Take action today and begin to enjoy the encouragement of true fellowship with others.
