My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor, if you have struck hands in pledge for another, 2. if you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth, 3. then do this, my son, to free yourself, since you have fallen into your neighbor's hands: Go and humble yourself; press your plea with your neighbor! 4. Allow no sleep to your eyes, no slumber to your eyelids. 5. Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler. Question What do you jeopardize when you view porn?   Practical help The passage above warns us against covering other people's debts. The point being, don't put our money at risk. The warning applies just as well to when we jeopardize our time and/or money on porn sites. Their operators want us to hawk everything we've got, if necessary, to view their smut. Take credit card charges for access to pay-per-peep sites. Such charges put countless porn viewers in deep dept. Or the time spent surfing for smut. What spouse, offspring, friend or task have we cheated by squandering even a minute on porn? If this is ringing a bell with you, read the above passage closely. It's talking to you.
