Welcome to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand strong in the face of sexual temptation.

This is part two of five studies which consider how Psalm 19 offers insights into the full life in God.

Passage: Psalm 19:4b-6*

4b. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun,

5. which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.

6. It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is hidden from its heat.

Questions

1. Are "tomorrows" something you look forward to, or do you fear them?

2. How can the "newness" of a sunrise help you fight off porn?

Practical help

Of the many graces our God bestows on us day-in and day-out, among the richest is just that — "day-in and day-out." Every crack of dawn is new and unique. Every prior sunset is history — what's done is done, what wasn't, wasn't.

Every day you get a new canvas and an opportunity to paint your soon-to-be past. It doesn't matter what's hanging in your life's gallery, because in-between the days you've painted God places one he's painted. This one has just two images on it — a bloodstained cross and an empty tomb. (Click here to learn about the significance of these images.)

Before you start to paint your day, take some time to appreciate what God paints for you. It will help you envision that today can be the day that you don't paint porn into the picture. And remember that each day you paint will be surrounded by amazing grace. Paint away!
