My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor, if you have struck hands in pledge for another, 2. if you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth, 3. then do this, my son, to free yourself, since you have fallen into your neighbor's hands: Go and humble yourself; press your plea with your neighbor! 4. Allow no sleep to your eyes, no slumber to your eyelids. 5. Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler. Question How long have you put off seeking help for your porn problem?   Practical help Verse 4 in the passage above says don't waste time getting out of financial risks. Ditto for fleeing smut. Here's a short self-quiz: 1. How many times have you promised to quit porn, only to give in to it again? 2. Do your promises include such words as "tomorrow," "later," "after I install smut filters," "when I join an accountability group"? Could be your "flight plan" involves no flight. To flee smut, you've got to drop everything and run. Now, not later. That's real flight. But is this you? It could be. If you decide to run from porn now. Not after you get a nap. Not after you buy new running shoes.
