Welcome
to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand strong in the face of sexual
temptation.
Passages: Ephesians 5:16*
.....making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
Questions
1. According to this verse, what shape is our world in these days?
(Paul was writing in the first century. It looks like things havent changed much in
2000 years!)
2. Given the state of the world, how should Christians use their
time? What do you think Paul has in mind when he says that we are to make the most
of our time?
Practical help
Paul didnt use a DayTimer or a Palm Pilot, but he was a master
at wise time management. We dont know for certain if he was efficient by
todays business standards. However, we do know that he was PURPOSEFUL in where he
spent his time. Are you?
Being painfully practical, Scripture invites you and me to evaluate
the activities that fill up our days in light of the impact that those activities will
have on an evil world. How can we best spend our time so as to counteract the
darkness?
Spending minutes or hours surfing the web to gaze at porn certainly
isnt the best way to stand against evil! Far better to invest the time (and the
energy and the money!) you might be using in viewing porn to actively fight it. PRAY
for those who are caught in its snare. GIVE toward ministries that stand
against it. WRITE A LETTER in support of those who have taken moral
stands. JOIN A SUPPORT GROUP in your local church to aid those who are
trapped. Make the most of your time to build up the Kingdom! Putting minutes into that
effort is not wasting, using, or spending time. It is making an eternal investment.
