Welcome
to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand
strong in the face of sexual temptation.
Passage:
Matthew 5:14-16*
16. By their fruit you
will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from
thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
17. Likewise every good tree
bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad
fruit.
Questions
1. What do these verses
say?
2. How might they apply to your
anti-porn efforts?
Practical
help
"I only read
Playboy for the articles."
In all fairness, Playboy
does print good journalism. Some of the best
personality profiles and feature stories in American
publishing appear in its pages. But (and it's a big
but) the magazine pursues an agenda that runs counter
to Christianity. Even if you averted your gaze from
every centerfold en route to the Norman Mailer piece,
Hugh Hefner's hedonistic philosophy would come
through. Bad trees produce bad fruit.
The lesson? Run from porn in
every form. In R-rated movies where nudity aims for
titilation. In Web sites where raunchy stories, not
pictures, predominate. And yes, in
Playboy.
