In Galatians 5:22-23, the apostle Paul lists nine "fruit of the Spirit," fruit that the Holy Spirit produces in the life of the believer. Each of these fruits - if produced - will greatly aid a believer who seeks to "stand strong". At eXXit, we believe: that the fruit of the Spirit is produced in the life of a healthy Christian, just as apples appear on a healthy apple tree; that if there is any love or joy or peace in a Christian, it is ultimately the work of God; that Christians can cooperate with the Spirit's desire to produce His fruit in their lives by yieldedness, faith, obedience and involvement in ministry. We write this to make our joy complete. Questions 1. What is the source of the joy in verse 4?   2. Is it easier to live in purity when you are alone or when you are enjoying the company of others who are also trying to live in purity?   Practical help Pornography promises a sense of joy that is short-lived. If you trust in Christ, you have a promise of joy that is eternal, life in fellowship with him and his Dad. But, there's more! You also have the joy of knowing fellowship with John, and Paul, and Stephen, and zillions of others who share the same Savior. John knew that true joy, a joy that penetrates to the heart, is found in relationship with the heavenly Father, and with His family. In pornography, there is no relationship, only aloneness and isolation.
