Welcome to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand strong in the face of sexual temptation.

Passage: 1 Samuel 10:9*

"As Saul turned to leave Samuel, God changed Saul's heart, and all these signs were fulfilled that day."

Question

How much hope for transformation can porn-weary Christians hold on to?

Practical help

In Jean-Paul Sartre's play "No Exit," one of the characters speaks a famous line: "Hell is — other people." Christians might amend that to "Hell is — persistent struggle."

Web porn certainly qualifies as one. It seems to keep cropping up, despite our frequent cold-turkey vows. Do these ongoing struggles mean that we can never overcome Web porn?

Scripture answers a firm no. For starters, God implanted a new heart in each one of us at salvation. The Bible tells us that our deepest desires are now good, regardless of our feelings or actions. Moreover, 1 Samuel 10:9 shows us that God can miraculously change the heart. He did it for Saul (no saint), and he can do it for us. All we must do is pray for God's strength and try to glorify him.

God provides an exit from Web porn. That's what inspired the name of this site.
