Does pornography complicate your day or make it easier?   2. Are you overwhelmed by problems?   3. Is life a drag?   Practical help We could certainly apply today’s Bible passage to salvation, but let’s consider its message even for born-again Christians. To accept Christ as your Savior does not exempt you from problems including temptations of your own choosing. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. This passage would not be necessary if, once we became Christians, we were no longer tempted. Our problem is that we seem to look first for every other "escape" except the one that Jesus offers us. But there is no rest to be found in them. Been there. Done that. And so have you. The invitation includes you, no matter what you have done. Jesus invites you to come to Him, and He promises you will find rest.
