Passage: Psalm 107:17-22* 17. Fools, because of their rebellious way, and because of their iniquities, were afflicted. 18. Their soul abhorred all kinds of food; and they drew near to the gates of death. 19. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses. 20. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. 21. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, and for His wonders to the sons of men! 22. Let them also offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, and tell of His works with joyful singing. Questions 1. List some ways in which you may suffer because of the effects or consequences of a porn habit: (i.e. not enough sleep because of time spent browsing to porn sites)   2. Has guilt or anguish or fear stemming from a porn habit ever made you physically sick?   Practical help It's not just the direct effects of porn that can start to tear a person apart but also the subtle side effects. Take sleep, for instance. When you trade time on the Web surfing to porn sites for the absolute minimum sleep the body needs for its daily renewal something has to give. Maybe your job performance is slipping because your just too tired to do a quality job? Maybe you just can't wake up early enough to do those exercises necessary to keep you body in reasonably good shape. As this passage in Psalm 107 illustrates, the follow-on effects of bad choices and a rebellious attitude can be disastrous journey away from the one who loves you. But help is only a cry away. A cry to God. God wants you to get back on track. So much so, that He's sent His word (the Bible) to heal you. Ask a Christian friend to help you get started with reading and applying the Bible.
