Keywords: "God" "peace"
Welcome to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand strong in the face of sexual temptation.

eXXit advertises itself as a web site designed to help you "stand strong in the face of sexual temptation." In Galatians 5:22-23, the apostle Paul lists nine "fruit of the Spirit," fruit that the Holy Spirit produces in the life of the believer. Each of these fruits - if produced - will greatly aid a believer who seeks to "stand strong".

At eXXit, we believe:

that the fruit of the Spirit is produced in the life of a healthy Christian, just as apples appear on a healthy apple tree;

that if there is any love or joy or peace in a Christian, it is ultimately the work of God;

that Christians can cooperate with the Spirit's desire to produce His fruit in their lives by yieldedness, faith, obedience and involvement in ministry.

We hope you enjoy and benefit from the next month and a half's meditations on Galatians 5! Send us any feedback. We'd love to know what you think.

Questions

1. What do you see as the recurring phrase in all the verses listed above?

2. There are different kinds of "peace" available in our world today. Military, emotional, relational, spriritual - maybe other kinds. What kind of peace do you see these New Testament authors highlighting?

3. Do you, personally, have "peace" in your life?

Practical help

Just as God is the source of love and joy, so God is also the source of personal peace. Jesus came to make peace between God and man by His death on the cross. Click here to find out how to become a Christian and experience peace with God. But, there are other hoped for sources of peace many pursue. Among them is involvement with Internet pornography. The momentary "rush" associated with sexual stimulation is a counterfeit of the real sense of well-being we all long for. That lasting peace is only available from God. The pixels on your computer screen are a greasy hamburger compared to the tasty steak of peace God has prepared for you as you seek your peace in Him.
