Questions How can the truth free you from an addiction to pornography?   Practical help We hear and see this famous verse almost everywhere: in movies, on college libraries, and off of the tongues of pagans. But what does it mean? Jesus speaks of spiritual freedom. (Sorry, Hollywood and academia.) And nowhere do we need it more than in the area of Web porn, which holds many of us in bondage. Truth tells us that God wants more for us than the cheap thrill of the illicit image. Truth remakes us in the image of God. Finally, truth assures us that all of our struggles will one day pay off. Unfortunately, John 8:32 mentions no timeline. Jesus doesn't tell us how long it will take for the truth to free us from our addictions. But it does make the simple radical claim that God will make us spiritually free.
