Practical help

Some people feel too weak to resist the temptation to surf porn. Our passage today instructs us to “depart from evil.” Click it off, and walk away. Don’t sit there and do mental battle with it.

The Christian life, fortunately, is more than resisting evil. Don’t be fooled into thinking you are doing good just by avoiding doing what is bad. If you want to really put a lid on lust, then get active helping others. How could you be a friend to someone today? Get your mind off yourself. As you do this you will discover it is tied into a great feeling called “peace.”

Although God loves all people, He shows special favor to those who love Him back and show their love by seeking to obey Him. When they pray, He is all ears. Run from porn, and seek to do good, and your life will be spiritually empowered in ways you can’t now comprehend. God made you for very good things.
