Welcome
to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand
strong in the face of sexual temptation.
Passage:
Proverbs 7:19-20* (a
prostitute is trying to snare a customer)
19. My husband is not at
home; he has gone on a long journey.
20. He took his purse filled
with money and will not be home till full
moon."
Question
Does bitterness toward
someone cause you to view porn?
Practical
help
Verse 20 above possibly
reveals a bitterness the woman had toward her husband:
He was off somewhere with plenty of cash, leaving her
at home to fend for herself. Was she entitled,
therefore, to romp with a stranger?
Do you view porn to get even
with someone who has spurned or deserted
you?
Your plan will never work.
You'll feel only angrier and more abandoned with each
smut site you visit.
The only way to break loose from
the bitterness is to forgive the person who wronged
you. A good place to start is admitting your own
offenses. If you're a Christian, read and apply 1 John
1:9*:
If we confess our sins,
[God] is faithful and just and will forgive
us our sins and purify us from all
unrighteousness.
