My whole being will exclaim, "Who is like you, O Lord ? You rescue the poor from those too strong for them, the poor and needy from those who rob them."

Questions

1. What is God known for in the above passages?

2. When it comes to resisting porn, who are your "enemies" (see Psalms 18:7 above)?

3. What is the writer's response in Psalms 35:10 above?

Practical help

As you try to resist porn, it's good to remember two things:
1. You've got an enemy trying to smash you, namely the porn industry, which seeks not only your destruction (means little to them) but your money (means plenty to them).

2. You've got a dependable ally, namely the great Lord God, who can hide and protect you. Let him.

A good way to personalize these truths is to exclaim Psalms 35:10 (see the last passage above). You can shout it out loud (a park or field is a good place for this) or just let your soul scream it out for your ears only.

Do whatever it takes to remind yourself that you've got a ruthless enemy out to get you and an almighty Redeemer who won't allow it.

So shout, and stand back.
