What if you forget to quit in time and someone catches you looking at smut? The woman in the passage above must have known similar pressure — perhaps not on the day her husband left town, but certainly on each passing day as his return drew closer. Would he catch her sleeping with another man? Such is sin. There is always a pressure, always a dread of being caught, of being stuck in it forever. If this sounds like your situation, the Bible has good news for you. God can get rid of your pressures because he can get rid of your sins. Stop hiding from him.
