Thou dost scrutinize my path and my lying down, And art intimately acquainted with all my ways. 4. Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O Lord, Thou dost know it all. 5. Thou hast enclosed me behind and before, And laid Thy hand upon me. 6. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot attain to it. Questions 1. What kind of knowledge does God have of you?   2. What does God do with this knowledge?   3. What needs is God interested in meeting in your life?   Practical help Every detail, every thought, every need that you and I have is known by God before we are even aware of it. Perfect, intimate and complete are words that describe His knowledge of us. Nothing is hidden, and nothing misses his scrutiny when it comes to our lives. The writer of the Psalm doesn’t share this truth to cause fear in the heart of the reader. On the contrary, he shares it to give encouragement because He was sure of God’s love and kindness. God never uses the negative things he knows about His own children to harm them in some way. The truth is that as a Christian, you are a son or daughter completely understood by Him so He is able to care for your deepest needs. Yes, He knows everything about your struggles and temptations and sin. When you are looking to porn to meet some deep need, God knows exactly which characteristic of His nature and presence will truly meet the need you have. You see, every need you have is met in Christ. God is at work to draw you close through His grace and mercy so you can discover His fullness. If you face temptation to gaze on porn and get lost in a fantasy world today, remember that the need driving you there will never really be met through porn.
